We attended Chez Marisette baking workshop with my 8-year-old daughter during the winter holidays, where we made cupcakes and donuts. The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and very home-like, with lots of light. Sophie communicates wonderfully with children and explains each step of the baking process in a clear and engaging way. The most exciting part for my daughter (and, I must admit, for me as well) was creating the decorations for the pastries. Our theme was Harry Potter, and it was incredibly fun. The decorating process is very relaxing — almost like meditation. The kids were very involved in the making and baking process, and truly enjoyed every part of the class. The end product was of course more than spectacular.
